The links on this page are for past students and faculty of the world famous "Elliot Lake Secondary School".

Here is a graph showing the student population from year to year beginning in 1956 up to 2001.

My reason for creating this page is simple. I love my High School. I love my friends I came to know. They came to Elliot Lake from all over the world. I came to love my teachers.. those adults who were charged with my physical, mental and emotional well being. Those individuals who sometimes had to explain it to me twice and didn't get mad. I thank those teachers who made numbers mean something useful. Teachers who made places far away not just pictures in my worn out text book, they were salty breezes on my face and images in my mind that made me believe that someday, I could go to the stars. I felt them and heard them. I sat at my desk while these artists drew moving pictures in my mind from the front of the room. Teachers that made me want to know more. Thank you !

My friends were friends from the soul. We hung together through thick and thin, through trial and travail. Our ego's were big and we were full of energy... probably from all of that Uranium they were taking out of the mines. That's what these pages are geared towards, our friends from our High School days and our experiences since then.

Here is a very special page from someone who has had a dynamic influence on  many thousands of ELHS/ELSS students for many years: Mr. E.H.Dixon. Also, you will find information on Mr. Dixon which shows that he is still very active in the community. Please visit the pages dedicated to Mr. and Mrs. Dixon's contribution in Elliot Lake.

This project began in July 1999. I wish to thank the many alumni who have helped me, prodded me, and guided me in this adventure and supplied the necessary documentation that made it possible. I especially wish to thank Mrs. Kelly Martell for saying the right things at the right time and offering to do the really hard stuff... find the yearbooks, contact people, proofread these pages and a host of other necessary work that helped bring this project to fruition. Also, without these special people who "trusted" a stranger in another country with their yearbooks, this project would not be. Thank you Judy Gareau, Tom and Helen Rogers, Elaine Lafreniere and Carole Prodan, Cathy McLean and Rose Duhaime for loan of their URCAPEL's
